Workout Songs of the Week- Eminem X 3
Eminem releases his long awaited album “Recovery” I have been blasting it all week long. One of the things that seperates Eminem from most rappers, is that he is sincere and his word play and metaphors often are so complex you can’t catch all of them on the first go. I had the pleasure of playing it as I got pulled over by the cops on 495 on Saturday (DWB). There are so many good songs on this album I don’t even know where to start but here are three that I’ve taken a liking to.
Almost Famous- Eminem
I don’t know what goes harder on this song, the beat or Eminem. This is my official gym anthem for the summer.
Talkin’ To Myself feat. Kobe – Eminem
I really wish Eminem had went on Wayne and Kanye it would have been so good for hip-hop. Wayne and Kanye would probably have had their careers ended but it would have been worth it. This song is a great introspective into the struggles Eminem faced after the death of Proof.
No Love feat. Lil’ Wayne -Eminem
I don’t even know why Wayne shows up on this song. His verse isn’t even that bad but Eminem just kills absolutely murders this song. His speed and tone rise with the beat, and his lyrics deliver. He does not waste a single line or breath in his verse and delivers one of the greatest verses I’ve ever heard the pleasure of hearing. It is the definition of an audio orgasm.
